New Officers Named for Leadership Akron Board of Trustees

In June, our Board of Trustees honored and thanked Tim Fitzwater ‘85, Malcolm Costa ‘90, and Steve Fry, who completed their term limits and served the Leadership Akron Board in a variety of roles throughout their tenures. We welcome three new board members whose terms commence this year:

• Jim Merklin ‘03, Partner, Bober Markey Fedorovich

• Steve Strah ‘07, President, Ohio Edison Company

• Kristie Van Auken ‘00, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Akron-Canton Airport

Also, Captain Danny Zampelli ’06 will join the board ex officio as Leadership Akron Alumni Association’s Vice President. As Chair terms came to a close as well, the board also elected new officers for the 2010-2011 year:
