At its most recent meeting, the Leadership Akron board of trustees welcomed three new members: Tom Doll '96, President, Superior Staffing, Inc.; David James '08, Superintendent, Akron Public Schools; and Karen Talbott '90, President, Visiting Nurse Service & Affiliates.

Class 24 team looked good and played even better, taking the championship in their first appearance at the LAAA Ellen McIntyre Memorial golf outing. The team included (l-r) Bob Unruh, Barry Thoman, Brian Ray, and David Firestine. When they’re not making things happen on the course, this group makes things happen in the community, with leadership roles ranging from Goodwill Industries and the Greater Akron Chamber’s Small Business Council to Akron Civic Theatre and Summit-CAN Go to College.
